Compact Design for Comfort

The Scout Reel is a precision engineered cave diving reel specifically designed for divers with smaller hands. I have carefully reduced every dimension to ensure it is comfortable to hold and easy to operate, without sacrificing performance or line capacity. The CNC machined handle is crafted from a single billet of 6082 T6 Aluminium and features a radial sculpted pattern that provides a secure grip in all diving conditions. Meanwhile, the Acetal spool is CNC-machined with a recurve design, allowing you to deploy and retrieve line smoothly, even in confined spaces.

Durable, High-Quality Materials

I use Grade 2 Titanium for the axle bolt and thumbscrew, and Grade 316L Stainless Steel for all other fasteners. These materials resist corrosion and provide long-term reliability. I design each component to endure repeated exposure to saltwater, pressure, and the demands of technical cave diving. As a result, the Scout Reel remains lightweight, yet exceptionally durable.

Line Capacity and Ergonomics

The Scout Reel holds up to 90 metres of line. Its compact size suits dives with limited space and divers who prefer smaller, manageable equipment. The ergonomic design ensures smooth, controlled line handling, which reduces fatigue during long dives or complex navigation tasks.

Custom Finish Options

Divers can choose from a range of custom colours and handle patterns. This custom finish improves underwater visibility and highlights the precision machining of the reel.
